The goal of the project is to adapt and apply the DGNB system for sustainable industrial estates on the example of WHA’s Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 1 (ESIE 1). The system was developed by DGNB (Sustainable Building Council Germany) and it provides sustainable certification profiles for buildings, districts and cities.

EGS-plan as one of the leading DGNB consultants in Southeast Asia has already applied the system on a total of 7 buildings in Thailand and two of them were industrial buildings (New Grohe Factory 3, Haefele Logistic Center Extension).

WHA wants to take it to the next level and assesses the possibility to certify a complete industrial estate with an area of 12,805,392 m2. The industrial real estate developer has already committed itself to safeguard the environment and expects the view of a third party on their environmental strategies as well as further suggestions for improvement. Results of the project are an adapted rating scheme and a pre-assessment of WHA’s industrial estate. EGS-plan and DGNB are happy to support this challenge and are looking forward to an excellent cooperation!
